The Broome County STOP-DWI Program and the TC Tremors will be presenting the 8th annual STOP-DWI Tournament of Champions at the BAGSAI SOFTBALL COMPLEX in Binghamton, New York. The tournament will feature 42 Class “A” and Gold 18-under fast pitch teams from throughout the United States. Over 60 college coaches are expected to attend the college NFCA exposure camp. Ever since its inaugural year in 2001, the tournament has received many accolades from the attending teams and college coaches alike. For this reason the STOP-DWI Tournament of Champions is rapidly be coming one of the top exposure tournaments in the country. The tournament has drawn teams from Michigan, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Ohio, Indiana, New York, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Virginia, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Canada.

This year marks the 8th Annual STOP-DWI Tournament of Champions and College Recruiting Camp. Our community is proud to be the host of this outstanding event. Each year the reputation of this event grows both regionally and nationally which only helps promote the important message of the title sponsor – Broome County STOP-DWI.

I want to congratulate all of those involved: organizers, sponsors and community groups who have helped to make the STOP-DWI Tournament of Champions a huge success.

I especially want to recognize and thank Tournament Directors Lou Bishop and Tony Palmieri for all their work in organizing the STOP-DWI Tournament of Champions. I also want to say thank you to all of the spectators who have been so supportive of the Tournament year in and year out. We again welcome you to our area and hope you will enjoy, participate and have fun at this year’s events.

Tournament of Champions

Fast Facts

Type: 36 teams, 5 games guaranteed, 1 game Friday, 3 games Saturday, and then Sunday there will be three separate single elimination tournaments. The top 12, middle 12, bottom 12. 6 teams, 5 game qualifier for 2009 tournament.

Dates:

Tournament: July 11 - 13 2008

NFCA Exposure Camp: July 10, 2008

Where: BAGSAI Softball Complex, Binghamton, NY

Entry Fee: $525 (make checks payable to TC TREMORS) there will be no refunds once the tournament starts and games are played, if tournament is total rain out there will be a $175 refund

Roster and Insurance: A copy of official ASA roster and proof of insurance must be available to the Tournament Director or Assistants upon request

Uniforms and Equipment: Compliance with ASA rules will be enforced.

Awards: Tournament winner and Runner-up and individual
