Broome County Announces Christmas Tree Recycling Schedule

 

 (Binghamton, NY)  When the holidays are over and it's time to take down the Christmas tree, keep in mind there are multiple places where you can dispose of your tree and help create materials used in local parks by doing so.

TO RECYCLE YOUR TREE
 
FREE Drop-off Locations:                        RESIDENTS ONLY!
 
Grippen Park, Endicott: Will accept trees from December 26 – January 9. The trees are chipped and spread along hiking trails in the parks.
 
NYSDEC Sub-office, Kirkwood:     Will accept trees between 8am and 4pm at 1679 Route 11. The trees are chipped and spread along hiking trails in the parks.
Broome County Landfill, 286 Knapp Road, Binghamton: Will accept trees at the residential drop-off area located at the landfill from December 26-January 31. Open Monday through Friday, 7am-2:45pm, Saturday 7am –11:45am. The trees are chipped and composted.
 
 
Residents with municipal or private curbside service should contact their garbabge hauler for more information.
