(Binghamton, NY) The Broome-Tioga Workforce New York Office located at 171 Front Street will reopen on Wednesday, November 18^th at 8am. Workforce offices were temporarily relocated to the Broome County Public Library and the Department of Social Services due to construction debris that entered the building. The environmental testing completed by the NYS Department of Labor, Public Employee’s Safety and Health (PESH) division concluded debris samples did not contain harmful levels of toxic substances, therefore allowing the building to be reopened. To make this determination, PESH and the County Safety Specialist reviewed both phase contrast microscopy (PCM) air sample tests and transmission electron microscope (TEM) bulk sample tests.
