BROOME COUNTY EMERGENCY ANIMAL SHELTER WILL CLOSE FRIDAY, SEPT. 16
The Broome County Animal Response Team (BCART) emergency animal shelter at Hillcrest Depot will close on Friday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. Pet owners, please begin making plans to pick up your animals at the shelter as soon as possible. Please call our BCART hotline at 347-537-9935 for further information.  
The emergency animal shelter is located at 1151 Hoyt Ave. in the Hillcrest section of Binghamton.  GPS and online directions are not reliable, so please proceed as follows:   From Route 17/86 in Binghamton, take the exit for Route 7N (Hillcrest). From Route 7, take the Hillcrest/Service Road exit. Go through the stop sign to the first traffic light and turn right onto Chenango Street. Turn right onto Nowland Road (about ¼ mile from the highway exit). Turn left onto Hoyt Avenue and enter the Depot. The shelter is the second building on the left, behind Warehouse #8.
