Efforts to restore water in Endicott
(Union, NY) This notice is to explain what is going on with Village of Endicott Water System.
The system has lost a lot of pressure. This is often caused by a leak in the underground distribution system or a leak in someone’s home or business. Crews are using listening devices to find where water is escaping the system, and when an opening is found, the nearest accessible valve is closed. It is hoped that if enough of these running water locations are found, that pressure will build in the system so that more water will become available to consumers. You may be seeing crews out in the streets, please be advised that their presence is an effort to stop water loss in the system and ultimately to restore water to all users.
