Recently, it was brought to the county’s attention wireless would be helpful to Spiedie Fest operations and other park events. After evaluating the technical details, it became clear with a small investment of about five thousand dollars, the county could provide free wireless internet access at Otsiningo Park from now on. 

 

After soliciting several bids, the County contracted with Plexicomm-Internet Solutions to install the necessary equipment at the park.  The free wireless capability will be available beginning today, July 31st. 

 

“We see this as an excellent enhancement for those who visit Otsiningo Park,” said Executive Fiala.  “I can just imagine people lying out on a blanket in the park, enjoying the outdoors, but still being connected and able to surf the internet!  This technology upgrade will be helpful for the operations of the Spiedie Fest as well as the long term operations of our Broome County Parks and Recreation Department.”
