June 2011 River Crawl

(Binghamton, NY) From Baseball to Blue Boxes is the theme for June's River Crawl scheduled for Friday June 17th at 6pm.

Follow the Binghamton Bingos baseball team to the flying Blue Boxes – a century of fun along the Chenango River. Learn history of the Stow Flats – home of the fairgrounds, race track, baseball field, and the flexible shaft. End at the TechWorks! Prototype Workshop where you can fly a WWII–vintage Blue Box, make a giant paper clip, see a 49-year-old computer, and sample local ice cream.

The tour group will meet on the River Trail behind 5 West State Street (Opportunities For Broome building next to the Binghamton Plaza, near New York Pizzeria). Attendees can park there or at TechWorks! at 321 Water Street.  Look for the balloons.
