Local Electronics Recycler Offering Free Curbside Pickup to Flood Victims

Vestal, NY (September 19, 2011) – In an effort to assist the communities affected by the September 2011 flooding, eco International in partnership with the Department of Environmental Conservation, will be offering free curbside pickup for electronic debris beginning today.
"We have a responsible recycling solution for the electronic components that may have been damaged and are not salvageable,” said Gary Pasquale, eco International’s Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager. “Computers have very sensitive business and personal information stored on them. We provide a free and secure way to remove that data and recycle the hard drives.”
Residents and businesses may contact eco International to schedule a pickup of their electronic material at (607) 760-1871 or email at curbside@ecointernational.com. Curbside pickup of electronic debris will be scheduled Monday – Friday from 8am-3pm.
Acceptable items include: laptops, computers, monitors, printers, copiers, fax machines, televisions, telephones, keyboards, mice, speakers, wires/cables, video game systems, VHS/DVD players, servers, and hard drives.
Residents and business are also welcome to drop off their damaged electronics at eco International‘s facility, located at 200 Stage Road in Vestal, NY, Monday – Friday from 8am-3pm
