Vestal Endicott Bridge to Close April 13th
(BINGHAMTON -NY) The Vestal-Endicott Bridge, a Broome County owned Bridge, connecting Vestal Avenue in the Village of Endicott with N. Main Street in the Town of Vestal, is planned to be closed to all traffic from April 13, 2010 at 7:00 A.M. and is anticipated to reopen before July 2010.
Both the north bridge approach and the south bridge approach will be closed for the purpose of cleaning and rehabilitating the bridge superstructure and associated work as part of Broome County DPW Project BR 0902.
Vehicular traffic will not be allowed on the bridge; however one sidewalk, for pedestrian use only, will remain open across the bridge during the bridge closure period. As a safety measure for walkers, cyclists should dismount and walk their bicycles across the bridge.
There will be a signed detour utilizing local and state roads. Signage and traffic control will be as per “NYS Manual of Traffic Control Devices” and Contract Plans. The detour from N.
