FREE breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings!
The Cancer Services Program of Broome, Chenango & Tioga Counties provides FREE cancer screenings to people who do not have health insurance. The program also provides free diagnostic testing when there has been an abnormal screening result. Uninsured individuals who are in need of treatment for breast, cervical, colorectal, or prostate cancer may be eligible for Medicaid coverage through the Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program. Screening Services Available:
Breast Cancer Screening
Mammograms and Clinical Breast Exams
· Women 40 and older
· Women who are younger than 40 and at high risk for breast cancer
Cervical Cancer Screening
Pap Tests and Pelvic Exams
· Women 40 and older
Colorectal Cancer Screening
Colorectal Cancer Screening Kits (done at home)
· Men and women 50 and older who are at average risk for colorectal cancer
Colonoscopies
· Men and women who are at increased risk for colorectal cancer
The Cancer Services Program of Broome, Chenango and Tioga Counties is a
partnership of community organizations and health care providers working to provide
the residents of our region who are without health insurance with access to quality cancer screening services.

Diabetes Prevention and Control Program
Tobacco Free Broome Tioga
A program focused on educating the community about the risks of tobacco use and the available opportunities for quitting.
Adolescent Tobacco Use Prevention
Compliance checks of tobacco retailers are conducted by staff and youth volunteers. Retailers are prohibited from selling tobacco to minors.
