BROOME COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES EDUCATION PROGRAM
FALL 2010 EMS COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT

* BASIC EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN ORIGINAL DAY COURSE: Begins Tuesday 08/24/2010 Meets Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM and some Saturdays 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Concludes with final State testing, 12/16/2010. Location: Broome County Public Safety Facility. Instructor/Coordinator: Donna Church EMT-B.
* BASIC EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN ORIGINAL EVENING COURSE: Begins Tuesday 08/24/2010. Meets Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30 PM until 10:30 PM and some Saturdays 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Concludes with final State testing, 12/16/2010. Location: Broome County Public Safety Facility. Instructor/Coordinator: Richard J. Allen Jr., EMT-P, CIC.
* BASIC EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN ORIGINAL EVENING COURSE: Begins Monday 08/30/2010. Meets Monday & Wednesdays 6:30 PM until 10:30 PM and some Saturdays 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Concludes with final State testing, 12/16/2010. Location: Binghamton University, Science Building 2, Room 140. Instructor/Coordinator: Robert Parke Jr., EMT-P, AAS, CIC.
* BASIC EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN REFRESHER AND FIRST RESPONDER REFRESHER COURSE: Begins Saturday 10/02/2010 (Skills Challenge Pre-testing and Written Challenge Exam). Meets Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Concludes with final State testing, 12/16/2010. Location: Broome County Public Safety Facility. Instructor/Coordinator: Toni Lou Griffis EMT-CC.
* CRITICAL CARE/PARAMEDIC REFRESHER COURSE: Begins Thursday 8/26/2010. Meets Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30 PM until 10:30 PM and some Saturdays 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Concludes with final State testing 03/17/2011. Location: Broome County Public Safety Facility. Instructor/Coordinator John Dancesia, EMT-P.
* CRITICAL CARE ORIGINAL COURSE: Begins Tuesday 8/31/2010. Meets Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30 PM until 10:30 PM and some Saturdays 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Concludes with final State testing 05/19/2011. Location: Broome County Public Safety Facility. Instructor/Coordinator John Dancesia, EMT-P.
* Application deadline is the start date of the course, as long as space remains. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible to ensure enrollment in the desired course.
These courses are fully state-funded (tuition-free) for those with current, active volunteer or paid affiliations with organizations having NYS EMS agency codes (consult our Tuition and Fee Policy for details).
Basic Pilot Recertification Program meets on the 1st Wednesday every month from 8:00-12:00 am and same topic will be presented again from 6:30-10:30pm at the Public Safety Facility.
Advanced Levels Pilot Recertification Program meets on the 4th Tuesday every month from 6:30-10:30pm at the Public Safety Facility.
