Finch Hollow Nature Center Announces Family Programs for Fall

(Binghamton, NY)  Finch Hollow Nature Center has several family friendly programs lined up for the Fall of 2010.  The programs include crafts and nature walks for various age groups.  For more information or reservations, call (607) 729-4231.

Fall Trees Walk and Craft for Ages 3-5
 
Children aged 3-5, accompanied by an adult, are invited to participate in a “Fall Trees Walk and Craft” program at Finch Hollow Nature Center, Johnson City. Participants will take a guided walk to learn about how trees and animals use the fall to prepare for winter, then make a related fall craft. The “Fall Trees Walk and Craft” program will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Admission is free. Reservations are required. For information or reservations, call (607) 729-4231.

Paper Bead Jewelry Workshop
 
Finch Hollow Nature Center, Johnson City, will hold a Paper Bead Jewelry Workshop for adults, and children aged 12 and up, on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Participants will learn to create paper beads, then use them to make a necklace, bracelet, or earrings. This free program will take place 10:00 AM until noon. Reservations are required. For additional information or reservations, call Finch Hollow Nature Center at (607) 729-4231.
 
Family Fall Nature Walk

Families are invited to participate in a guided nature walk on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Finch Hollow Nature Center, Johnson City. The walk will focus on the sights of autumn and nature’s preparations for the coming winter. A fall craft activity will be included. The Family Fall Nature Walk will take place from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Admission is free, but reservations are required. For additional information or to make reservations, call Finch Hollow Nature Center at (607) 729-4231
