Friends of the Forum Looking for Additional Beauty and the Beast Gala Sponsors to Join Premier Sponsor Court St. Redevelopment
Beauty and the Beast Gala set for June 3rd at the Riverwalk Hotel & Forum Theatre
Gala will honor Security Mutual Life’s 125th Anniversary
(Binghamton, NY) Friends of the Forum is seeking additional sponsors for its latest fundraising event in support of renovations at the Forum Theatre. The event is the Beauty and the Beast Gala to be held at the Riverwalk Hotel and Conference Center’s Grand Ballroom and at the Forum Theatre.
Last week it was announced that Court St. Redevelopment would be the Premier Sponsor of the event. Court St. Redevelopment includes the following partners:

The Friends of the Forum hosted its first fundraising event in December 2009. The Mamma Mia! Gala raised $50,000. The second event was a cocktail party in conjunction with Tri-Cities Opera, which showcased the “La Traviata Opera” and raised $3,000.
Now, Friends of the Forum is looking forward to June 3rd, 2011. That is when Friends of the Forum will present The Beauty and the Beast Gala Celebration. Disney's “Beauty and the Beast” is brought to Greater Binghamton by the Broadway Theatre League.
As part of the gala lineup, attendees can expect to enjoy an extravagant, gourmet dinner beginning at 5PM at the Riverwalk Hotel and Conference Center’s Grand Ballroom. From the dinner, gala participants will proceed to the Forum Theatre to watch “Beauty and the Beast” beginning at 7:30PM. Following the show, everyone will return to the hotel for dessert and to party with cast members until midnight! All proceeds benefit renovations at the Forum Theatre!
The Forum is one of our community’s greatest cultural landmarks. The Forum is not only on the National List of Historic Places, it is also our area’s premier venue for the performing arts. The Broadway Theatre League, Binghamton Philharmonic and Tri Cities Opera, all utilize the Forum as their main stage. The Forum is also home to many other musical, dance and comedy performances.
