The Broome County Health Department conducts risk evaluation and TB skin testing during normal business hours, Monday - Friday by appointment.
Please call 607.778.2839 to schedule appointments or to get more information.
TB-related information is available in 26+ different languages.
All services and treatment is billed to third party payers, however, there is no charge to the individual meeting risk factor criteria. There are no co-payments or surcharges.
We are located on 225 Front Street, Binghamton, New York, near the corner of Clinton and Front Street, north of the railroad tracks.

From Rt 17
Heading East towards Binghamton, take the Front St (Rt 11) Exit, at the end of the ramp turn Right, the Broome County Health Dept. is on the Right at the 2nd traffic light.
Heading West towards Binghamton, take I81 North, take 1st Exit for Front St (Exit 5), at the end of the ramp turn Left, the Broome County Health Dept. is on the Right at the 3rd traffic light.
From SUNY Binghamton campus
Left on Rt 434 West (Vestal Parkway), take 1st ramp on Right onto Rt 201 North. Approach traffic circle in Right lane and take Riverside Drive. At 7th traffic light turn Left onto Front St. Take Front St until you go under a railroad overpass, the Health Dept is on the Left.
Bus & Taxi Service from SUNY to BCHD
Broome County Bus - Take the #5 or #15 from Campus, then transfer to the #8. Tell driver of #8 you want to stop at Health Department. Info # 607.778.1692
Off-Campus Bus - Closest the bus gets is intersection of Main St & Front St. From that point, it is approximently 4 blocks up Front St to get to BCHD. Info # 607.777.6989

Directions to Local Hospitals from Main SUNY Binghamton Entrance (Only for Chest X-Ray or Blood tests prescribed by TB Clinic)
Hospitals are open 24/7 but the best time to go is between 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday due to better staffing. You may walk-in or call ahead to schedule an appointment.
Be sure to bring the prescription given to you by the BCHD nurse.

Left on Rt 434 West (Vestal Parkway), take 1st ramp on right onto Rt 201 North. Approach traffic circle in right lane and take Riverside Drive. Lourdes Hospital is on right at 3rd traffic light. Park in the back and go to entrance in front nearest to Riverside Dr. Information Desk can direct you to X-Ray Dept.

Left on Rt 434 West (Vestal Parkway), take 1st ramp on right onto Rt 201 North. Take traffic circle to Floral Ave exit (2nd right). Left onto Baldwin Ave (watch for a sign on right "H" just across from Baldwin). At 2nd traffic light, take left to parking lots. Several entrances available (emergency room entrance only after 9 pm). Information Desk can direct you to X-Ray Dept.
