Broome County Health Department Announces H1N1 Response Activities for Week of December 7, 2009

BINGHAMTON, NYThe Broome County Health Department will be holding five H1N1 flu clinics during the week of December 7, 2009. The vaccine is available at no charge. Written consent from a parent or guardian will be required for anyone under 18 years of age.

4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
(open to people who are part of the groups recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to receive the H1N1 vaccine)

CDC target groups for H1N1 vaccination include: 
  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age
  • Health care and emergency medical services personnel
  • Anyone 6 months through 24 years of age
  • Anyone from 25 through 64 years of age with certain chronic medical conditions or a weakened immune system
