Landfill to resume regular hours of operation
The Broome County Landfill will resume regular hours starting Saturday, October 8th.
The Knapp Road scale house: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 2:45 pm; Saturday 7:00 am – 11:45 am.
The Dunham Hill Road scale house: Monday – Saturday 7:00 am – 2:45 pm; Saturday 7:00 am – 11:45 am.
The Dunham Hill scale house (commercial) will remain open Saturdays until volumes decline.
The landfill is still accepting fee waivers for flood debris. Tires, yard waste and Freon units (white goods, air conditioners) are not considered flood debris.
The Broome County Landfill has accepted approximately 29,552 tons of flood debris through the close of business on Thursday, October 6th.
