Daniel D. Reynolds (D) was re-elected to his third consecutive term on the County Legislature in November, 2006. He represents nearly half of the Town of Vestal's residents, including most of the Binghamton University Campus.
Legislator Reynolds is the Chair of the Finance Committee. He is also a member of the County Administration Committee and the Personnel Committee. He has also served on the Economic Development and Planning Committee, Education, Culture and Recreation Committee, and the Health and Human Services Committee.
Dan has stated that the following issues are among his top priorities: (1) promoting economic revitalization, (2) taking action to retain and attract young workers to Broome County, (3) assuring financial accountability, (4) moving forward with consolidation of government services, and (5) addressing countywide sewage treatment solutions.
Mr. Reynolds has been a practicing attorney in Binghamton for thirteen years, and is a partner with Shaw, O'Brien and Crowley. Dan is a graduate of Seton Catholic Central High School, Binghamton University, and Albany Law School. He is a board member of the New York State Citizen Education Committee, past Director of the Broome County Bar Association, and member of the All Wars Memorial Committee.
Dan and his wife, Nancy, have four children and they reside at 2404 Charleston Avenue in the Town of Vestal.
