Jerry F. Marinich (District 10) Chairman The Chairman presides at all sessions of the County Legislature and appoints members of standing and ad hoc committees. The Chairman is an ex-officio member of all committees. Additionally, the Chairman is a member of the Board of Acquisition and Contract (BAC) and several advisory boards pursuant to the provisions of the Broome County Charter and Code. |

Wayne L. Howard (District 8) Majority Leader Chosen by the Majority party, the Majority Leader is the chief spokesperson for the Majority Party. The Majority Leader facilitates policy discussions within the Majority Party and often serves as the voice of the Majority Party during deliberations of the County Legislature.

Mark R. Whalen (District 1) Minority Leader Chosen by the Minority party, the Minority Leader is the chief spokesperson for the Minority Party. The Minority Leader facilitates policy discussions within the Minority Party and often serves as the voice of the Minority Party during deliberations of the County Legislature.
