Mario is a proponent of, among other objectives, preventing environmental accidents and intentional dumping as a result of natural gas exploration; developing a comprehensive brownfield re-development plan; fiscally responsible budgets and spending; and seeking the resources necessary to ensure the well-being of Senior Citizens and those on fixed incomes.

While working for the Broome County Health Department, the New York State Department of Health and the Department of Environmental Conversation, Mario has gained experience and expertise in the issues that currently face Broome County. He has developed flood mitigation plans for local healthcare centers while working to secure state and federal aid to help the area recover from past floods, assisted in developing a plan for temporary control of toxic vapors in Endicott and worked with the county on multiple landfill issues.

Mario attended Union-Endicott High School, Broome Community College and Tri-State University; and is a licensed professional engineer.
