Have you ever wondered who your ancestors were, but didn’t know how to find out? The Broome County Public Library is holding a series of genealogy workshops for beginners. Gerald Smith, Head of the Broome County Local History & Genealogy Center, will present “Passengers in Time: A Beginner’s Guide to Genealogy in two parts.” Part 1 deals with the basics of genealogy research and Part 2 will discuss use of the Internet in genealogy. Participants must sign up for both classes. Space is limited to 20 for each series and pre-registration is required. Call 778-3572 to pre-register for either series or for further information.
