Dual Recovery Project

The objective of the Dual Recovery Project is to coordinate, improve and enhance treatment and ancillary services for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, especially those with the most serious and persistent mental illness and substance use problems.  The Dual Recovery Coordinator also develops and sponsors many trainings.

Understanding Loneliness & Social Isolation: Impacts on People and Society at Large in a Connected World

1.5 CEU credits for CASAC (pending), Social Work and LMHC

Understanding the Social Determinants of Health and Mental Health, focusing attention on how health and mental health is largely influenced by social factors. This workshop begins to examine the multitude of impacts of loneliness in order to help people develop meaningful connections that heal.

Healing Through Mindfulness: Incorporating Mindful Strategies into Practice

2.0 CEU credits for CASAC (pending), Social Work and LMHC

This training will explore the exciting possibilities that mindfulness practice holds for healing for trauma. You will learn how to successfully introduce mindfulness to the people you serve, overcome obstacles to engaging people around this practice, and utilize concrete skills for applying mindfulness in your work.
