HIV Care Network Plans For AIDS Memorial Quilt Display

In recognition of World AIDS Day, December 1, 2003, the HIV Care Network is planning to bring several panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt to Broome County for display. The AIDS Memorial Quilt is a tribute to people who have died of AIDS. The quilt was started in 1987 as a means of expression of grief over the deaths of loved ones and to increase public awareness of the AIDS epidemic.

If you would like the Network to request a panel of a friend, family member, or loved one you knew who died of AIDS, contact Sandy Kosty, Coordinator of the HIV Care Network, at 607.778.3066 by August 8, 2003. The Network will submit all requests, however, it cannot guarantee that all panels will be available for the local display.
