Do you sing in the car? How about the shower? Anytime there’s music on? Then you may be a perfect fit for Action for Older Persons’ first-ever Lip Sync Challenge featuring Donna Lupardo and many more! AOP is hosting the fundraising event on Thursday, August 24th 6-8 PM at Binghamton High School’s Helen Foley Theatre and is looking for people to show off their skills.
Contestants will lip sync - mouth the words (no singing!), to their favorite songs, anything from the classics to modern tunes; pop, country, rock, or even hip-hop! Be sure to dress the part and include a dance routine if you'd like. Performers will be judged and the best routines will be awarded. Judges will include Tonia Thompson (Superintendent, Binghamton School District), Candace Chapman (Anchor at WBNG News) and Rich Wilson (professional entertainer)!
Solo acts, duets, and groups are needed for the program. If you’re interested, complete the form and send to Action for Older Persons, 200 Plaza Drive, Suite B, Vestal, NY 13850. You can find the form at www.actionforolderpersons.org, or pick one up at AOP’s office. Space is limited, so don’t wait! For more information, call AOP at 607-722-1251, and for up-to-date information, keep track of AOP’s Facebook page and Twitter account (@ActionforOlder) with the hashtag #AOPLipSync.
If you’re just interested in simply attending the event, it will be $5.00/ticket. Buy at the door or contact AOP. We hope to see you there!
