BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County Public Works Commissioner Henry Weissmann announced today that the tip fee wavier for the acceptance of flood debris at the Broome County Landfill will end Saturday, November 11, 2006.

The waiver was implemented following this summer’s floods to assist homeowners with discarding flood damaged items. County Executive Barbara Fiala did not want the costs of debris removal to impact homeowners and business owners who already had their hands full trying to rebuild after the flood waters receded.
