The Planning Department Staff serve on, or as staff to, a variety of public, private, and citizen advisory boards.

Council of Governments (COG)
The department also serves as staff to the Council of Governments. The COG is composed of the chief elected official for each municipality within the county. Its purpose is to promote the discussion of issues and topics of importance to the members.
