Police Week to Feature Two Exhibits about Drunk Driving:“The Courage to Serve” and “One Second, Everything Changes”

(Binghamton, NY) Two exhibits that will be featured at Police Week at the Oakdale Mall, May 7th and 8th, will be “The Courage to Serve” and “One Second, Everything Changes”.

“The Courage to Serve” exhibit pays tribute to five police officers from New York State that were killed in the line of duty by drunk drivers. Former Village of Port Dickinson Police Officer Aldo Rossi is featured in this exhibit.
 
“One Second, Everything Changes” portrays youth who were put at risk in the Southern Tier and Central New York. This display focuses on the fateful events of four youth that were killed as a result of drunk drivers.
 
The displays will be located in the Center Court area of the Oakdale Mall on Friday, May 7th and Saturday, May 8th.
 
The exhibits are made possible by the Lewis Henry Morgan Institute at SUNY-Institute of Technology through funding by the National Highway Safety Administration with a grant from the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
