Greater Binghamton AirShow 2006

BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala is proud to announce the return of the Greater Binghamton Airshow 2006, Friday, June 30th and Saturday July 1st. This year’s event will feature the all new, must-see night airshow along with its traditional all day event.

Friday evening the Greater Binghamton Airshow 2006 is excited to host the newest trend in the airshow industry, a night airshow. Specially equipped aircraft modified to carry and launch fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices will light up the sky! This new addition to Airshow 2006 is an attraction that will definitely leave spectators in awe.

The excitement of Airshow 2006 continues Saturday with the traditional all day airshow that spectators know and love. Saturday’s airshow will feature non-stop performances by military fighter demonstration teams, parachute teams, nationally known civilian aerobatic champions and historic WWII aircraft. In addition displays of numerous aircraft such as current and historic war birds and civilian favorites will be on hand for spectator viewing.

This year’s performances will include the A-10 Thunderbolt East Coast Demonstration Team presented by Lockheed Martin, US Navy F/A-18C Hornet Demonstration Team presented by BAE SYSTEMS, US Army Special Operations command Parachute Team the “Black Daggers”, US JET Aerobatic Team, Greg Poe flying the Crucial Edge 540, Bill Leff’s Starfire Night SKYSHOW, Dan Buchanan’s Special Effects Hang Glider, Rob Holland’s Ultimate Bi-Plane, Manfred Radius’s Sailplane Aerobatics, Dan Dameo flying his F4U Corsair, and Jim Beasley Jr. flying a P-51 Mustang.

The Greater Binghamton Airshow 2006 is a community and family oriented event meant for the enjoyment of all. Airshow 2006 will take place Friday, June 30th, 5pm-10:30pm and Saturday, July 1st, 10am-4pm at the Greater Binghamton Airport. Advanced tickets are on sale now at all Giant Markets: Adults $8, children 8-16 $7, under 8 free. Tickets on sale the day of the event will be: Adults $9, children 8-16 $8, and under 8 free. Plenty of on-site and off-site parking is available for $2 with shuttle services transporting to and from parking lots provided. Feel free to bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on, umbrellas for shade, and sunscreen for protection.
