Facts You Need To Know If You Go To The Airshow!
BINGHAMTON, NY - As the Greater Binghamton Airshow 2004 nears there are several key points of information that the community should be aware of prior to the event dates of July 10th and July 11th.
- Hours:
- Gates open at 9:00 a.m.
- Flying performances begin at approximately 10:30 a.m.
- Show Closes at 5:00 p.m.
- Parking:
- 90% of spectator parking will be off-site at four parking lots located adjacent to Airport Road at a rate of $2.00 per car. Remote Airshow parking will be available at Broome Community College at a 50% discount. Continual shuttle service will be provided free of charge, to the airport from all off-site and remote parking areas. Inbound shuttle service will begin at 9:00 a.m. and last until approximately 3:00 p.m.

- Directions to parking locations are available on the airport's web site (www.binghamtonairport.com)
- Tickets:
- Adults: $10.00 (Advance) $12.00 (Gate)
- Children (8-16 yrs.): $6.00 (Advance) $8.00 (Gate)
- 8 and under free
- Purchase:
- Advance Tickets are available at all Giant Markets
- Misc.:
- A ticket is good for either Saturday or Sunday. The show schedules are identical on both days. The USAF Thunderbirds will fly on both days.
Do not park along Airport Road during the event. Commercial Drive, Booth Road and portions of Knapp, Flint and Brigham Roads will be closed per federal air show rules during the hours of 3:30 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. on both Airshow dates.
- Broome County Emergency Services Representatives will be present at all times during the Airshow and will have medical stations located on site.
- Airline passengers having a flight that day should allow for extra time before their departure and follow directional signs on Airport Road.
- Airshow Spectators should remember to drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. Food and beverages will be available to purchase at the event.
General Info: This years air show will feature the very best in military and civilian aerial performers. Highlighting this event are the world famous USAF Thunderbirds who will be making their only appearance in New York State this year. Numerous other performers will take to the skies including an A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration who will fly with a P-51 Mustang during a Heritage Flight. In addition many U.S. military aircraft, as well as vintage war birds will be on display.
