Temporary Street Closing in Windsor

WINDSOR, NY - Trim Street, in the town of Windsor, will be temporarily closed next week and into the following week, due to a culvert replacement project.

The Broome County Department of Public Works will be closing a portion of Trim Street to all traffic for the culvert replacement project beginning Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 7:00 am. Traffic will reopen Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 7:00 am. The culvert is located approximately 0.3 miles west of Hoadley Hill Road and 0.6 miles east of Dickinson Road. These two roads will be marked for use as the preferred detour route.

Broome County awarded the contract to the construction firm of Chicago Construction Company, Inc. of Endicott, N.Y. The project consists of removing an existing culvert pipe and replacing it with a new culvert pipe. The existing pipe is being replaced due to the deteriorated condition of the bottom of the pipe.
