Customer Service jobs featured at Job Fair
BINGHAMTON, NY - Approximately 14 businesses will be recruiting employees at the Customer Service Job Fair to be held Wednesday, August 29 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Broome Employment Center.
The Job Fair features career opportunities in the banking, insurance and customer service fields. Many of the positions would pay $7 - $10.00 per hour or more for persons with experience, and some would have a bonus or incentive pay. Most of the businesses would offer a range of benefits, including health insurance.
Several of the jobs offer career tracks as employees can compete for higher level or supervisory positions within the business.
Those persons planning to attend should bring a resume detailing computer skills and typing speed. Individuals without resumes or not aware of their typing speed may visit the Broome Employment Center in Binghamton, the New York Employment Center in Endicott or the Tioga Employment Center in Owego for assistance.
Persons seeking employment at the Job Fair should be prepared to speak to company representatives about their clerical and customer service skills. In addition to customer service jobs, some companies have other job opportunities, including warehousing, driving, food service and nursing related positions.
Businesses participating in the Job Fair include the following: AIG Marketing, Binghamton University Dining Services, Broome County Government, BSB Bank & Trust, FYI/QCSinet, GHS Federal Credit Union, Giant Markets, Lowe's Home Center, M & T Bank, Maines Paper & Food Service, NCI/MCI, Time Warner Cable, Visions Federal Credit Union and Willow Run Foods.
