Fourth Annual Book Recycling Fair

BINGHAMTON, NY - Help us reuse and recycle books to promote literacy and protect the environment.

Broome County will be sponsoring its Fourth Annual Book Recycling Fair at Cornell Cooperative Extension located at 840 Upper Front Street, Binghamton.  This event has three major goals: to return books back into circulation, to increase recycling and to promote literacy programs.

Book Drop-off Days:

Books can be dropped off from Thursday, September 19th through Saturday, 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.  Books will only be collected during this time period, and will not be available until giveaway days.  All types of books will be accepted.  Books that are soiled, mildewed or water-damaged should be disposed of in the trash.

Book Giveaway Days:

Books will be distributed at the Book Giveaway Days on Friday, September 27th and September 28th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.  The books are free to everyone, but not meant for resale.
