United Express Adds Service between Binghamton and Washington DC

BINGHAMTON, NY - United Airlines recently announced it will add a fourth daily round trip flight between the Greater Binghamton Airport (BGM) and its growing hub in Washington Dulles International Airport on the busiest local travel days of the week. Beginning October 4th, United Express will offer an additional flight between The Greater Binghamton Airport (BMG) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays of each week.

The new flight will provide travelers with more options for access to and from Washington D.C. The new flight will also give passengers better connections worldwide through Washington Dulles including flights to China and Japan. The new flights will be operated by United Airlines Regional Partner Colgan Air using the comfortable SAAB 340, which is a 34-seat turboprop.

"We are pleased to see United Express offer expanded service from the Greater Binghamton Airport," said Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala. "United's new flight schedule will give our travelers more options, especially for our business travelers needing access to our nation's capital or overseas destinations."

These new flights are part of 22 new flights United has added to Washington Dulles International Airport, a 13 percent increase over last year's departures, further strengthening its East Coast hub. The new flights that United has added also include connections to Beijing, Tokyo, Kuwait and new daily flights to domestic airports such as Fort Myers, West Palm Beach and Tucson.
