What Did That Owl Eat?
Owls and some other predatory birds leave behind the undigested fur (or feathers) and bones of their prey, in a form known as a pellet. Finch Hollow Nature Center is accepting reservations for "What Did That Owl Eat?", a program for families with children aged 7 and above, to be held on Saturday, October 27, 2001 from 10:00 AM until noon. Participants will learn about owl pellets, and dissect a pellet to reveal the bones within. The bones will be identified to determine what the owl ate.
Finch Hollow Nature Center is located at 1394 Oakdale Road, Johnson City. The fee for this program is $2.00 per person. Reservations are required. For more information or to register, call 607.729.4231.
