Community Needs Assessment Kicks-Off In The Deposit Area
BINGHAMTON, NY - On Monday, October 18th some 35 representatives from over 30 community groups from the Town of Sanford in Broome County the Town of Deposit in Delaware County and the Village of Deposit which is uniquely situated in both counties, met to kick-off a community service needs assessment for the Deposit area.
This kick-off meeting was the first in a series of three that launches a 3 month process to identify the Deposit area's key community service needs, assign priorities to those needs and make recommendations to local officials on a strategy for addressing them.
The first meeting which focused primarily on identifying needs was very successful in terms of community representation and needs presented. This project is being funded by grants from the Hoyt Foundation in Broome County and the O'Connor Foundation in Delaware County.
