Broome County Employees Clean-Up For 'National Make A Difference Day'

VESTAL, NY - In celebration of National Make A Difference Day; employees from the Broome County Community Alternative Systems Agency (CASA) are asking for the community's help.

On National Make A Difference Day, Saturday, October 27, 2001, CASA employees will be working in the courtyard of Willow Point Nursing Home from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to clean and decorate it for the enjoyment of the residents and their families. Some of the improvements include applying a fresh coat of paint to a gazebo in the courtyard, planting bulbs for the spring and decorating the courtyard with flags and fall decorations.

Donations are needed. Donations of pumpkins, fall decorations, flags can be dropped off to Willow Point Nursing Home on Thursday, October 25th and Friday, October 26th. As always, volunteers are welcome. For more information, contact CASA at 607.778.2420.
