Former Deputy County Executive Thomas Hoke To Be Honored
BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County Executive Jeff Kraham will rename the Department of Social Services Building the Thomas P. Hoke Human Services Center at a ceremony to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5th at the 36-42 Main St. facility in Binghamton, NY.
Mr. Hoke, the former Deputy County Executive for Human Services retired in December 2002 after 34 years of service to the people of Broome County. He began his career with Broome County in 1968 as a Social Services Caseworker; he then advanced to Senior Caseworker, Case Supervisor, Staff Development Director, Deputy Director of Social Services, Commissioner of Social Services and ultimately Deputy County Executive for Human Services.
"During his 34 years of service to Broome County Tom Hoke earned the respect and admiration of his employees, coworkers, community organizations and professionals by his exemplary work ethic and devotion to the field of Human Services," said the County Executive. "I am pleased to honor Mr. Hoke's dedication and commitment to the residents of Broome County in this manner," said Mr. Kraham.
