Key Steps to a HealthierNY Partners to Address Advocacy Education and Communication

BINGHAMTON, NY - On Thursday, November 16, the Steps to A HealthierNY partners will meet at the Broome County Health Department, 225 Front Street, Binghamton from 10:00 AM until noon to address the importance of advocacy education and communication. The panel discussion will be led by Sherry Tomasky, Director of Advocacy, American Cancer Society; Kyle Steward, Executive Director, New York State, YMCA; and Paul Hartman, Director of Advocacy, American Heart Association, Northeast Affiliate. Several community members will also provide key testimonials, reinforcing how Steps programs have influenced them to make lifestyle changes.

Steps to a HealthierNY - Broome County is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of Steps to a HealthierUS, a national program focusing on the prevention of diabetes, obesity and asthma and the control of risk factors including poor nutrition, physical inactivity and tobacco use and exposure.
