Time Warner Cable To Air Early Intervention Program Video Sponsored By The Broome County Health Department
BINGHAMTON, NY - Time Warner, in conjunction with the Broome County Health Department will air a ten minute video loop that is intended to raise awareness of the Early Intervention Program. The video will air every Wednesday through the month of January and begin on Cable Channel 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The video is designed to help parents and caregivers recognize potential developmental delays in their very young children and seek assistance in exploring their concerns. As a result of a call from a caregiver or a referral from a medical provider, the Early Intervention Program staff at the Broome County Health Department will arrange for an assessment of the child, and if the findings warrant, assistance in receiving intervention services.
All of these services are provided at no cost to the family, regardless of financial status. The goal of the Early Intervention Program is to provide intervention services to infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families because early detection does make a difference in the future of a child.
