Bike Rodeo, June 2, 2007 at Recreation Park

BINGHAMTON, NY - The Broome County Traffic Safety Program will conduct a small bicycle safety rodeo on Saturday, June 2nd, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Recreation Park, 73 Beethoven Street, Binghamton. The event is part of Schimmerling's Law Offices' 4th Annual Fun Fest and Safety Fair and will take place in the rear parking lot facing Laurel Avenue.

Bicycle rodeos provide bicyclists with an opportunity to practice and develop their riding techniques to help them become better bicyclists and avoid typical crashes. Bike rodeos give participants a chance to learn, practice and demonstrate their bicycle handling skills in a fun, noncompetitive atmosphere.

Children who would like to participate must bring a parent, a bicycle and an approved helmet. Free helmet fittings and bicycle safety education/guidance will be provided.
