Executive Fiala Unveils New Sign at Airport
BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala along with Greater Binghamton Airport Commissioner Carl Beardsley, Chamber President Catherine Glover and other local officials, cut a ribbon to officially unveil the new entrance sign at the Greater Binghamton Airport, last Friday.
The sign is part of the Phase II Public Side Improvement Program which has rehabilitated the roadways and pedestrian walkways leading up to the airport terminal. In addition to the improved signage, there is also enhanced lighting leading up to the airport.
The new sign which is showcased right at the main entranceway brings to life the airport logo symbolizing BGM's place as the Gateway to the World for the Greater Binghamton Region.
The entire project cost $2 M which was paid for with a combination of federal and state grants as well as airport generated funds.
