Is the cold weather keeping you indoors? Exercising with a group or at a senior center may be just what you need!  

In Broome County, your local senior centers offer many options to help people of all abilities maintain or get in shape. Here are a few to consider--

  • Bonesaver Classes: low-intensity, using light weights to help prevent osteoporosis and improve balance.
  • Chair Yoga: postures and movements are very gentle, easy to maintain and adapted to each student’s ability.
  • Open swim or water aerobics; call 797-2307 for details.
  • Participate in the Senior Citizen Indoor Walking Program.
