Broome County senior centers will honor local veterans on Wednesday, November 9, in commemoration of Veterans Day. This tribute has become a favorite annual tradition at the centers and was established as a way to recognize and thank all the local men and women who have served honorably in the military during times of war and peace. Veterans who are currently involved at the centers—and those who are interested in coming to one of the centers for the first time—are invited

• Broome West Senior Center in Endwell—Entertainer and singer Hugh Becker will perform a musical tribute to our veterans. 
• First Ward Senior Center in Binghamton—Veterans Day Remembrance with flag raising by a group from the Legion Post.
• Northern Broome Senior Center in Whitney Point—The film “Safe Haven” will be shown.
• Eastern Broome Senior Center in Harpursville—“Program of Thanks” honoring veterans with music and patriotic tunes.
• Deposit Senior Center (for this center only the event will be on Thursday, November 10)—Veterans Day Commemoration with entertainment and music by David Hores.
