Senior Citizen Winter Indoor Walking

The Broome County Office for Aging and local school districts have teamed up to offer people age 60 and older an indoor walking program during the winter months.

Sites are open through April 30, 2018. Seniors can walk through the hallways at the designated sites only during the arranged times, Monday – Friday. Please contact OFA for the walking schedule. If the schools are closed due to holidays and snow days, etc. then the walking program will also be closed.

Walking Sites:

Binghamton: East & West Middle Schools, Roosevelt Elementary

Chenango Forks: High School

Chenango Valley: High School        

Deposit: Deposit Elementary

Endicott: Jennie F. Snapp Junior High*, TJ Watson Elementary

Endwell:  Highland Park Gymnasium

Susquehanna Valley: Brookside Elementary, Susquehanna Valley High

Vestal: Old Junior High, Vestal High School

Windsor: Floyd Bell Elementary, A.F. Palmer Middle School                   


*Jennie F. Snapp – for security reasons you must enter the school at the Loder Avenue entrance between 3:00 – 3:30 p.m., but you can walk until 5:00 p.m.*
