Resume Review
For individuals with a finished resume, this workshop will review, critique and proofread resumes. Suggestions for improving your resume will be discussed.
Write the Resume
This is an interactive workshop utilizing the computer lab for building the resume, based on skills and work experience. You don’t need to be a computer expert, but you do need basic keyboard and mouse skills. Be sure to ask for a Resume Template at the reception desk if you register in person.
Scan-able Resume Preparation
Many local companies, such as Lockheed Martin, store job applicant’s resumes on a database. These resumes are “scanned” into the storage database and this process changes the rules of resume writing. Sign up for this workshop and you’ll learn the do’s & don’ts about creating an effective, results oriented, scan-able resume.
Tele-Commuting
Many national companies are hiring people local to work for them out of their own homes. Come to this workshop and learn more about this innovative labor market.
