Broome County Lifts No Unnecessary Travel Order, State of Emergency to Continue

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) Effective at 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020 Broome County Executive Jason Garnar has lifted the no unnecessary travel order. The State of Emergency will continue.

Several other municipalities are still under local State of Emergencies with their own travel restrictions, and the county urges residents in those municipalities to adhere to these travel restrictions.

The Broome County Department of Emergency Services continues to coordinate with local and state governments to complete the storm cleanup. The Broome County Highway department has assisted some municipalities with snow removal, as well.
