BINGHAMTON, NY - In a continuing effort to improve transit service, the Broome County Department of Public Transportation and the Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study have contracted for a telephone survey of Broome County residents. The survey will be administered and analyzed by the research firm Opinion Works of Annapolis, Maryland.

The survey will be conducted from June 19 through June 23. It is designed to gather the opinions of Broome County residents about all of the bus services operated by the county: BC Transit, BC Lift, and BC Country. Transit managers are interested in the opinions of both people who use transit and those who do not, and will use the survey results in making operational decisions.

The selection of households to be called is done on a random, anonymous basis. We urge those who are called to take a few minutes to complete the survey.
