BINGHAMTON, NY - The holiday spirit will be in full swing on BC Transit buses on Friday, December 8th. Any rider who boards the bus with a new toy for the “Toys for Tots” campaign will ride the bus for free. The rider will also receive a full transfer for a ride home that day.

BC Transit and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1145 will run the “Toys for Tots” campaign on all BC Transit buses from 6:00am-5:00pm on the 8th. BC Transit’s Trolley will be parked at BC Junction to collect the toys. ATU members will be volunteering their time during the day on Friday to collect the toys and put them in the trolley.

The best time to stop by to get pictures/video would be later in the day, possibly after 12pm, after some toys have actually been collected.
