Grippen Park

The Grippen Park Public Meeting is CANCELED!

Due to the rapid rise in COVID cases throughout Broome County, the Grippen Park Public Meeting scheduled for January 15th has been canceled. Please participate in the online survey below.

Grippen Park Recreational Building Upgrade Project Survey Now Available

Broome County is seeking public input as we explore opportunities for the future of Grippen Park. The public is invited to participate in an online survey about the Grippen Park Recreational Building Upgrade Project. In this survey, you will be asked for your opinion on different aspects of both the Park and Building.

Our goal is to:

· Provide a flexible, multi-use community recreation space

· Expand programming and activities for park visitors

· Inclusion of users of all ages and abilities

· Meet current and future needs of the community

· Become resilient and adaptive to future flood events

The survey and accompanying public input session are open to all Broome County residents, however we especially would like to receive input from those who utilize Grippen Park and its surrounding community. An in-person public workshop may also be held at a later date, if feasible in light of circumstances surrounding the COVID pandemic. The information we gather from this public outreach will aid us in implementing upgrades that meet our community's needs and aspirations for Grippen Park.

For more information regarding this project and to complete the survey, please visit the Grippen Park webpage at Any questions about the survey or public outreach efforts can be directed to Broome County Planning at or (607)778-2114.
