City Construction Reroutes Some B.C. Transit Buses

BINGHAMTON, NY - A major construction project in the City of Binghamton is forcing some B.C. Transit buses to reroute. McFarland-Johnson is rehabilitating the bridge on Court Street over the Chenango River. The construction is requiring B.C. Transit to navigate its buses around the construction area.

The rerouting schedule began in mid-March, however, lingering questions about the changes are prompting B.C. Transit to encourage riders to get their information first hand. Riders can receive a copy of all of the changes at B.C. Junction on Hawley Street. The information is also listed on the buses. And finally, anyone can log onto www.goBroomeCounty.com to review the complete detour schedule.

The bridge project is scheduled to wrap in the fall of this year. The BC Transit buses will resume their regular routes once the reconstruction project is finished.
