Broome County is sponsoring its Fifth Annual Book Recycling Fair at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 840 Upper Front Street, Binghamton, NY. The annual event seeks to return books to circulation, increase recycling and promote literacy programs.

Books can be dropped off at Cornell Cooperative Extension from Thursday, September 11th through Saturday, September 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Books will only be collected during this time period, and will not be available until give-away days. All types of books will be accepted.

Books will be available to the public at the Book Give-Away Days on Friday, September 26th and Saturday, September 27th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The books are free to everyone, but not intended to be resold.

The Book Recycling Fair is sponsored by the Broome County Division of Solid Waste Management in cooperation with; Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County, The Broome County Environmental Management Council, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, area Rotary Clubs, NYSEG and Phi Theta Kappa Mu Eta Chapter (BCC).
